About Us

We are a part of several other marine groups that have full support through communities and other resources. Resources include newsletters, informational papers, lists of speakers, and national communities.

Our goal is to educate people of the proper care and maintenance of miniature reef systems from small to large. This would include raising our fish, breeding our fish, raising our corals, and propagation of corals. It is a known fact that our reefs are getting smaller because of the collecting of corals and fish for the use of selling in our local stores and if we could learn to keep them healthy through proper care we could help to save the reef.

Some of the things that we will include as part of this club will be meeting. We will be able to meet our local reefers at these meetings and share our experiences with each other. We will also have tank tours where we can go to each others homes to see each others aquariums. One of the joys of this hobby is to be able to share our hard work with others that understand and appreciate our reefs. We will also have photo contests to see how good your hand is at capturing your reef on camera. The photos will be judged by voting of members and the winner will be displayed on the website for everyone to see.

Our biggest goal here is to bring the local reefing community together. It will make this hobby more enjoyable as we share with each other. It will also be a great way to get the emergency help we might need when things go wrong.

I hope we can provide a way for everyone here to get what they need. We are always open to new ideas and even improvements to old ideas. We hope that if you feel like this is a good resource you will consider becoming a member and helping support our local reef community.
